The Severna Park Elementary School PTO would like to invite you to Kindergarten Signing Day on Tuesday, August 11th from 4:30-5:30pm! This is a casual meet-and-greet for incoming Kindergarteners and their families. Come meet fellow classmates, partake in a special photo opp, play on the playground, and enjoy a cool treat from the PTO!

We accomplished so many things last school year! If you want to see the same amount of programs and events that we all love we need your help.  Click on the link to learn more about each committee lead position, many can be done after school hours and are one time events.

Who doesn't love the smell of fresh school supplies?? Come help count, sort and deliver school supplies to classrooms so our teachers can start the year out prepared! If you are available during school hours any day August 10-13 please email spelementaryptocomms@gmail.com and more information will be shared soon.  

Before the back-to-school hustle begins, could you take a minute to update your family's information on the PTO website?  Thank you to the 66 families who have already done it! Think of it as your easiest school task of the summer—no backpacks, no lunch packing, no permission slips required!  

Each July 1st, Membership Toolkit account holders are promoted within the system. What this means is that upon your first log-in after that date you'll need to review and verify your profile information. This is an annual maintenance check to ensure you and your family:

• Can review and adjust your permissions annually.
• Be assigned the correct tags for grades your student(s) are in for the upcoming school year.
• Receive appropriate information when applicable based upon your chosen settings.

 While teacher assignments have not been communicated yet from the school, all students connected to a parent/caregiver profile have already been advanced to the next grade. The dropdown menu will have an Unknown option for each grade, select this.

Back by popular demand! After reading survey results and discussing with families the PTO meetings will continue to alternate between the first Tuesday and first Wednesday of each month. We will also alternate between meeting virtually and in person.  We hope this can help to allow more families the ability to attend a meeting. The meeting time will remain at 6:00 to help get young students to bed on time. 

Our first meeting will take place in person on Tuesday, September 1st, we hope to see you there!   

We are excited to announce that this year’s Fall Festival will be held on Friday, September 25from 5:30-7:30.  

The Fall Festival is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and its success depends on the support of our amazing parent volunteers. From organizing games and activities to coordinating food, decorations, sponsorships, and day-of-event logistics, there are many opportunities to get involved.
