March 2026
What a Star-Studded Night!

Thank you for joining us for our Hollywood Nights VIP Dance! What an incredible evening filled with music, laughter, and so many shining stars!

From the red-carpet entrance to the dance floor fun, it was wonderful to see our students dressed to impress and enjoying the night with friends and family.

A special thank you to Robyn Scott and Erica Rodriguez and all of the other PTO volunteers and family members who donated their time or resources to help make the night such a success. These events are only made possible because of your support.

Stock the Lounge -1st and 2nd grade!

Let's show our teachers some love by filling their lounge with delicious snacks and drinks! We're asking families of 1st and 2nd graders to donate individually wrapped treats, bottled drinks, and other shelf-stable goodies.  You can click on the button to see an Amazon wishlist to find and order items to be shipped directly to the school or you can drop off items to the school office.  Thank you for your generosity!

Courtyard Clean-up!

We're looking for helping hands to assist with weeding and mulching in our school courtyard! This is a great opportunity to support our students, beautify the campus, and spend some time outdoors with others! With Spring just around the corner, we are hoping to get this learning space ready for our students to use!

We will have two clean-up sessions:

Tuesday March 17th 2:30-4:00

Wednesday March 25th 2:30-4:00

No gardening experience is necessary! If you're available, please send an email to Deirdre Huntsinger at spelementaryptocomms@gmail.com.

Read-a-thon starts March 13!

Our 2026 "Shine Bright- Read Every Night" Read-a-thon has officially arrived! Can you help us meet our goals of reading 100,000 minutes and raising $15,000 for the fourth year in a row?  One of our two big fundraisers held each year, our SPES PTO Read-a-thon helps fund great programs like Birthday Books, Assemblies, Residencies and much more!
Students can participate by reading and/or soliciting funds now through March 23rd to earn prizes at the individual, class and school-wide levels! Sign up online here to log reading hours and donate or use the Reading Logs sent home in backpacks.  Students will compete for the most minutes read and donations earned. Prizes will be given at the grade, class & individual levels!
