Program Descriptions:
Clay Club (Art)
- Lead Teacher: Ms. David
- Purpose: To learn about and create art projects centered around clay
- Number of students: up to 24
- Grade levels accepted: 3‐5
- Cost per student: $0 (supplies covered by Co‐Curricular Office)
- Day of the week: Wednesdays 2:25 p.m. to 3:25 p.m.
- Start/End Dates: Oct 11 to Dec 20
- 1‐2 PARENT VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED each week, signup to follow
Boone’s Botany Club
- Lead Teacher: Ms. Adams; Lead PTO Volunteer: Emily Cooper
- Purpose: To explore the native species located in our courtyard garden through science
lessons and arts and crafts - Number of students: up to 15
- Grade levels accepted: 3‐5
- Cost per student: $40 (student journals and weekly craft supplies)
- Day of the week: Wednesdays 2:25 p.m. to 3:55 p.m.
- Start/End Dates: Sep 27 to Nov 29
- 1‐2 PARENT VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED each week, signup to follow
24 Club (Math)
- Lead Teacher: Mrs. Hayes
- Purpose: To help students develop automaticity and problem‐solving skills
- Number of students: up to 30
- Grade levels accepted: 2‐5
- Cost per student: $0 (supplies covered by Co‐Curricular Office)
- Day of the week: Mondays 2:25 p.m. to 3:25 p.m.
- Start/End Dates: Oct 2 ending with an in‐school competition in March.
- 3‐5 PARENT VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED each week, signup to follow
Girls on the Run
- Registration for this club is found on the GOTR website HERE.
- Lead Coach: Mrs. Bauer
- Purpose: To bring girls together in companionship and help guide them on their wellness journey
- Number of students: up to 19
- Grade levels accepted: 3-5
- Cost per student: GOTR handles financing for this club. Please see their website HERE for more information.
- Day of the week: Mondays and Thursdays 2:25 p.m. to 3:55 p.m.
- Start/End Dates: Sept 18 ending Dec 3rd with a celebratory 5k at UMBC (Erickson Field)
